St. George’s British International School is a private school in Leioa, Bizkaia. The school was founded in 1956 upon three simple objectives; to promote academic excellence, to facilitate fluency in English and to provide a solid foundation in the essential values for life, all the way from Early Years to 6th Form. These objectives hold fast today; at St. George’s, English is the principal language for teaching and learning and we are the only school in Bilbao to offer the prestigious British National Curriculum from Early Years to Year 7.

St. George’s aspires to the highest educational standards and takes an international approach, focusing on providing a values-based education and achieving fluency in English. We have a 100% pass rate in the Spanish university entrance examinations (Selectividad), and achieve excellent results in the Cambridge English Language and DEFL (French) examinations. We use iPads in class and a variety of teaching techniques to help our pupils to maximise their learning potential.
