Key Stages

Our Curriculum

The British curriculum is designed to enable students to engage with and understand the challenges of today’s world. We educate our students to become informed and responsible young people with a strong ethical and moral foundation. We equip them with the tools that they need to achieve success in in their chosen field, and with a desire to make a positive difference in an ever-changing world.

We offer the British National Curriculum from Early Years (2 years of age) to Year 7 and the Spanish Bilingual Curriculum throughout the Secondary and Post 16 stages. Our students sit external examinations to confirm that they have achieved the required standards of knowledge and competence to progress to the next phase of their educational journey. We are a Cambridge examinations centre and also prepare our students for the DELF French exams.

Key Stages

Early Years

The Early Years phase of education plays a fundamental role in the learning process, and it is at this stage that we lay the foundations for a child’s academic future. We follow a curriculum called the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which is based on learning through play. We focus on full immersion in the English language and the development of emotional intelligence through creative play.

Primary - Key Stages 1 & 2

During this stage, our children acquire a solid foundation in literacy and numeracy. We also help them to develop their personal and social skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, solve problems, take initiative and develop an understanding of individual and collective responsibility.

Secondary School - a fully bilingual experience

In Secondary School, our aim is to help our students to take more responsibility for their own learning. We provide them with the skills they need to become critical, analytical and rational thinkers, help them to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, build their knowledge base, support them as they attain greater maturity and encourage them to become actively engaged in the school community, both academically and socially.
